Computer hardware, as a rule of thumb, is pretty robust and dependable. Nine times out of 10 the problem of a PC not starting, assuming of course it is plugged into power and there are no loose connections, would be the power supply. Power supplies are notorious for not supplying proper voltage or quitting altogether.
